Sun Prairie High School Boys Soccer Booster Club

General Boost Club Information

The Booster Club provides financial and volunteer support essential to the SPHS boys’ soccer program.  If you are looking to get more involved, please contact us at sphssoccerboysbooster@gmail.com

Booster Club Fees

The suggested Booster Club fee is a $80 donation per family.  Money collected will help offset our annual expenses and be used for uniform upgrades, new bags, equipment requested by the coaches, away game meals, end-of-season banquet costs, initial food purchases for concessions and other miscellaneous items.

Communication

The majority of communication is done via our website www.sphsboyssoccer.org.  Most volunteer opportunities will be created with SignUpGenius or requested on the website.

Volunteering

All season long there are numerous volunteer opportunities.  If you can’t commit your time, the booster club would appreciate an additional donation instead (but honestly, we’d really much rather have your time!).

The following are some areas where help is needed:

Fundraising

 - Packers vs. Sheriffs Basketball Game - Concessions volunteers needed for a game played in May

 - Peanut Sales – Players travel in groups to sell peanuts door-to-door

 - Spirit Wear – Help coordinate spirit wear sales and distribution

 - Program Advertisement – Offer advertisement space in our soccer program and on our website to local businesses

 - A Letter From the Players - Each player is asked to mail 3 – 5 letters to family and friends asking for donations.  Letters, envelopes and stamps will be supplied by the Booster Club.

Concessions

Assistance at concessions is vital to the success of our program.  Concession stand sales are one of the biggest and most consistent sources of the Booster Club’s financial revenues.  Making sure we are fully staffed and supplied is critical.  Helping in the booth is a lot of fun and the perfect way to meet other parents in the program!

Families are required to work the concession stand a minimum of one home games, however, feel free to help as often as you wish!  You will assist opposite your son’s game.  For example:  JV and Freshman parents will help during the Varsity game and vice versa.

Team Dinners

Throughout the season, families host team dinners the night before a selection of home games.  This is a great chance to meet your son’s teammates and provide team bonding.  Families are encouraged to work together in teams of two or three (or more).  One to will host and the other/s help with food, preparation and clean-up.

Away Game Meals

The Booster Club provides a small meal (Subway, granola bar, water) for each player traveling to an away game.  A parent volunteer/s is needed to pick up and drop off meals at the high school for away games played during after a school day.

End-of-Season Banquet

The End-of-Season Banquet is the final celebration for the entire soccer program.  All players, families, and coaches are invited.

Social Media/Pictures/ Video

There is ability through our website and TeamSnap to upload pictures of players and coaches throughout the season. Pictures may be also posted on social media or become part of the end-of-season video that gets played at the Banquet.  A volunteer from each team is required who will coordinate getting photos of every player (from their team) and create a Dropbox.

Also looking for a media volunteer to help produce a video for the end-of-season banquet.  Software is available to help you with this.

We welcome anyone interested in helping maintain our Facebook accounts to promote our boys all season long!

Senior Night

We are planning a variety of ways to honor and celebrate the Senior boys leaving our program.  Families of those players will be asked to help make this a memorable “farewell” season.

Youth Night

This is a great night for our players to play in front of the biggest crowd of the season.  It’s also the perfect way to promote the High School soccer program.  For this event, Sun Prairie Soccer Club teams are invited to come watch the game, be introduced at halftime, and meet the players.  This game is historically the busiest, most profitable night of the season for concessions.  There are plenty of fun activities to attend and bake sale to enjoy some additional treats while you watch the game.  MANY volunteers are needed to make this event a huge success!
